The Biometrics Me Database is designed to allow emergency personnel immediate access to you and your family's medical information. What would happen to you or your family if your medical aid information is not available when it is needed most? Everything can change in an instant and although accidents can not be controlled, what will happen to you or your family's medical information is unavailable? Careful planning is needed in order to prepare for the unthinkable situation where you or your family may be in a situation where they must fend for themselves. BioMe provides doctors, hospitals and emergency personnel with real time medical and next of kin information. The Biometrics Me Database was designed to provide details on your behalf when you or your family members can not speak for themselfs. Imagine a scenario where your family are involved in a car accident and they are unable to speak for themselfs? In normal circumstances the patient at an accident site, once stabilised, will be transferred to a government hospital if no medical-aid detail can be verified. After verification of your or your family's Biometric (fingerprint) information the database will send a text messages to the 2 captured next of kin individual's on your profile, informing them that you were scanned with a medical emergency. Biometric (fingerprint) recognition technology identifies and verifies people through their physiological characteristics. Each person's fingerprints are unique, and can be scanned while the patient is unconscious or may not be able to communicate. This makes it the ideal identification method for the Biometrics Me Database. During the authentication process, the live biometric is matched against the stored template, and a match is identified through the various authentication protocols. Fingerprint biometrics implementations are proving to be particularly successful because of the level of additional authentication they offer. This means that BioMe can offer a level of authentication that just cannot be matched by any other medical system in the world.
