Bloemfontein, has a fascinating urban street culture where people experiment with fashion and music. They are forming their own cliques and movements, each with it’s own mini-culture and style. We were driving around in the hood looking for locations. We also wanted to work around her outfit and ended up in a hood called Rocklands (Free State, South Africa). Winter here is always beautiful, especially if it’s covered in snow. This market we shot at has been there for over 20 years supplying this part of town with all kinds of healthy fruits and veg. These catz are always releasing dope tracks and music videos. Our province’s people very rarely get the acknowledgement they deserve so this was a big deal. Not only were we entertained, we laughed, we gasped and we almost fell of our chairs in shock. Check him out, he is also a dancer and sportsman of note.
