Pauline Gutter is a well recognized Brand known for Investment Art.  Her work is widely known and already collected by various private and corporate collectors locally and abroad.  As one of the top professional artists that provide some of the best Investment Artworks, she is constantly exploring her own expression through various materials and media.  As a full time working artist, she has a very high and comprehensive reputation amongst some of the finest art collectors of our time, and also amongst the artist community.  With the intention of producing Investment Artworks that serves as both a visual and enlightening indicator for collectors, as well as a platform for a contemporary artist like herself to exhibit her art, Pauline Gutter strives to maintain the highest possible artistic and intellectual standards.  Her Artworks can be counted amongst the best of South Africa’s most prominent contemporary artists.

The Free State-based South African painter and intermedia artist, Pauline Gutter, was born in Degree in Fine Arts (cum laude for painting) at the University of the Free State, Bloemfontein, South Africa. She was awarded Honours Colours in Arts and Culture from the same university. Currently Gutter’s layered oil painting, drawing, video art and installation focus on identity and gender in terms of media and cultural migration. My preferred media are oils, charcoal drawing and video. My work can be described as a visual attack of marks and colour, and the purposeful application of layering and interweaving of layers that gives the identity of continuous flux and ideological migration. Cultural traditions are interconnected in complex ways with many aspects of farming. Traditions can be considered myopic, insular non-progressive and pastoral. This atmosphere is visually depicted through a micro-level study My artworks focus on the Free State farming community and broadly speaking, issues such as economic sustainability within a free market framework. politics of land ownership, water pollution, cultural farming activities and traditions and the anxiety resulting from the increasing violence of farm attacks experienced by farmers and farm workers. My approach includes various explorations into the layering of paint and/or charcoal, representing the metaphorical connectedness of the subtle integration of the aforementioned complex sub-themes.
