Ideally situated on the outskirts of Bloemfontein, exactly 2.7km from the Walter Sisulu Road off-ramp on the N1, Haldon Estate is easily accessible and boasts a unique tranquil atmosphere with luxurious accommodation facilities, surrounded by an ancient English style garden complete with rolling lawns and established huge trees. Set at the foot of Brandkop on 13 hectares, the old English Herbert Baker style house boasts a long historical lineage and the garden and accommodation facilities which range from a luxurious Honeymoon suite through to affordable country style double and single rooms with family units and family cottage make it the ideal wedding and function venue. All the rooms are en-suite and are fully equipped with all modern day luxuries such as air-conditioning for summer, tea and coffee facilities, electric blankets in winter and satellite TV with DSTV. A full traditional English breakfast is served daily and delicious lunches and dinners can be arranged and are served in our dining room. Professional catering is available for weddings and other functions. Haldon Estate has developed a repertoire over the past decade of hosting professional conferences and other exclusive functions. Haldon Estate offer ground breaking Team Building facilities, which are both skill orientated and fun, and accommodate a wide range of age groups. Breath taking sunsets viewed with a glass of wine, seated on the veranda and accompanied by songs of the abundant birdlife is an experience not to be missed. During the Boer War there were various skirmishes in the immediate area between the Boere and the English in the Koppie behind Haldon, which is part of the greater Haldon Estate. Today people often still pick up old empty ammunition shells lying in the area. Kwaggafontein is renowned for having some of the purest underground water available in South Africa.
